A great misfortune has recently befallen a highly anticipated release. Payday 3 It's been available for about a week, but it's been quite difficult to enjoy. The reason? The game servers are experiencing problems, making matchmaking difficult. In addition, several bugs have been reported on PC. Starbreeze had to intervene, and a solution has been found. It's a rather drastic one, to say the least.

Payday 3 temporarily closes the bank

The instability plaguing matchmaking stems from third-party software that couldn't handle the massive influx of players. Even after deploying a new version, the problems persisted. Fortunately, Payday 3's performance has improved slightly recently, but it's still far from perfect. There's still a long way to go before it delivers a truly enjoyable gaming experience. The developers have therefore made a decision that will impact the FPS for a short period. The goal is to resolve the server and matchmaking issues once and for all.

Starbreeze The developers are urging patience, as on September 29th, they will be taking Payday 3 offline for several hours to address the numerous issues affecting the game. Rest assured, this is temporary and won't last long. To be more precise, it will be unavailable from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM. This timing seems quite well-chosen, given that the game's player base is unlikely to be very large at that time. This isn't the first time the studio has taken such a measure. They already used this option on September 26th, and it also lasted three hours. We hope this initiative will put an end to the unstable servers and other problems encountered by Starbreeze's production.

In any case, that hasn't stopped Payday 3 from being a smash hit, as the game boasts some pretty impressive numbers considering its chaotic launch: 218,250 people connected simultaneously, and over a million unique players since release—that's not bad at all. As a reminder, Payday 3 is available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X.
