Robust product, easy to install, well-recognized.

Used with a truck driving simulator, this gear shifter is entirely satisfactory. It works with the Logitech G29 steering wheel. Gear changes are simple and smooth. My only complaints are: - the gear changes are a bit noisy (a click is heard with each shift… not a problem for me, but for my wife who has her desk next to mine) - there's no button on the gear shifter to change the gear ranges (for trucks which often have 12 to 18 gears) - the mounting system isn't suitable for all types of desks. I had to buy a small tablet stand to mount the gear shifter on.

The gear lever is relatively sturdy. It's a bit small, but it will suffice for a beginner. One minor drawback is that I find the mounting system not very effective: a fairly strong person will have the gear lever in their hand after shifting into first gear, so you have to be careful. Once you've gained some experience, you'll quickly want to upgrade to a more advanced model. For the price, it's still good value for money, so I recommend this product for a first sim racing experience.
