Much better than what we can hope for: it's a run and gun type opposite (with many platform elements) that marks the first chapters of the Cobra series. Lo recomendo bastante!

Very complete edition, it is worth more than a penny to buy this edition for all the extras that it does not have in the standard edition. In any game, the movement of the person is always there, when you ask Cobra it can salt, correr and deslizarse bajo brechas. Good, but with some flaws. Finally finished, and here's my verdict. The game is quite difficult, even on easy mode. The penultimate boss will be a real challenge, as will the rest of it. The gameplay is rather flawed at times; my character falls off ledges because the controls are too slippery. It's quite repetitive in its structure, lacking variety. It only covers the first 12 episodes. It really captures the Cobra spirit; it's fun to play, with old-school gameplay. The music is taken from the anime, and sequences from it are interspersed between the platforming sections. The French dub sounds like our voice actor from back then. Expect a playtime of 10-12 hours, maybe more, because to unlock all the secrets of the early levels, you'll need to use gadgets that you get much later in the game. It's really only for fans who want a Goldorak game. For everyone else, I advise waiting until it's €15.

The PS5 game… in a Blu-ray case, what a disgrace! I bought a used copy of Cobra in "very good condition" for €30 (PS5 version). I received the game in its slipcover, sure, with the artbook… but the game case itself was just a cheap Blu-ray case! Unacceptable! Why not keep the original case or replace it with a PS4/PS5 compliant one? Beware of these sales claiming "very good condition" when there might be a problem… Furthermore, the cover was slightly creased.

A VERY GOOD METROIDVANIA WITH A COBRA STYLE. I'm giving it 5 stars to raise the average, especially after seeing comments like these. The day many people understand that we're evaluating the product and not the seller, the ratings will reflect reality much more accurately. Giving it 1 star because you don't receive the correct order is frankly ridiculous. You call customer service, they send you a replacement, but apparently it's too complicated. Otherwise, I'd rate it 4 stars. It's a very good game considering the production; it's not a AAA budget, but then again, it's Microids, and they already deserve credit for adapting pop culture classics. Graphically simple but pretty and effective, it runs smoothly with no lag or bugs (surprising for a Microids game). The difficulty is well-balanced, and it truly captures the essence and atmosphere of the series. There are clips from the anime between each episode, and even the voice acting is very good, with a French dub very close to the anime. It's far from being a smartphone game… In any case, if you like Cobra and Metroidvanias, you'll be satisfied, and always at a reasonable price from Microids. The only downside is that it only covers the first 12 episodes of the anime, and even though the length of each episode is decent, it's a bit frustrating. Hopefully, they'll release the rest.

A VERY GOOD OLD-SCHOOL STYLE GAME. To each their own, but personally, I love this game! Of course, I've loved Cobra for decades, which might influence my opinion, but I think this game is really great. Some might have wanted a AAA title with 3D, etc., but this is a pleasant, old-school side-scrolling platformer and shooter that's VERY respectful of the original medium. With what was surely a small budget, the developers have delivered a game brimming with love for Space Adventure Cobra. The delta beam is a real joy to use, there's a touch of Metroidvania about it, and the colors, levels, and music are all very enjoyable! A real popcorn game to savor. Sure, the game isn't perfect; it's a little stiff in some areas, but frankly, that's nothing compared to the fun it provides. In fact, as I wrote in the title, it's like a good old-school game. Not too easy, not too hard, clean and well-made! The included art book is fairly basic but a welcome addition. It's best to do some research before buying to make sure the game suits your style. One thing is for sure: for anyone who loves Cobra, this is a must-have!
