Bandai Namco has its end-of-year hit. The anticipation surrounding\u00a0Dragon Ball Sparking Zero<\/em>\u00a0The hype was immense, and the public responded enthusiastically even before the game's official release. For the past few days, the title has been performing exceptionally well on Steam thanks to sales of its more expensive editions (which guaranteed three days of early access), and this trend is clearly set to continue now that the game is finally available to everyone.<\/strong><\/p>\n

While we are still awaiting official sales figures, which are expected to be very substantial, we can already get an idea of the game's success through its version\u00a0Steam<\/a>. The game is only officially available in its standard version starting today, but even in early access, it was achieving peak connection numbers exceeding 90,000. That's well ahead of other fighting games on the platform.\u00a0Tekken 8<\/em><\/a>\u00a0\u00e0\u00a0Street Fighter 6<\/em><\/a>, however, the latter was not to be outdone (with a peak of over 70,000 simultaneous connections).<\/p>\n

At the time of writing, the highest recorded peak of\u00a0Dragon Ball Sparking Zero<\/em>\u00a0The number of simultaneous connections on Steam is 122,554.<\/strong>. That's a lot, especially before its first real opening weekend, which will undoubtedly allow it to far surpass that figure. If we add to that the console audience, there's no doubt the game has already sold several million copies.<\/p>\n
