A significant improvement over the previous model, but not a major evolution. The good points: - The screen is better and larger than the previous Nintendo Switch. - Although the screen is larger, the console's overall size remains largely unchanged, so you get the same value for your money as with previous models. - Double the storage capacity compared to its predecessor. Now we have 64GB, whereas before we had 32GB. - Improvements to the dock. It now has an RJ45 connection in case you need to dock it; Wi-Fi is unreliable. - Better sound than its predecessor. - Ability to play on the TV or in handheld mode. - Of course, in handheld mode, it improves the user experience compared to its predecessors. The bad points: - The only major improvements are to the display and sound. The machine's power is the same, meaning the microprocessor and RAM are identical to the model from four years ago. Although the screen is improved, the resolution remains at 720p, far from the 4K and 8K of its competitors. The OLED screen technology makes it predictable that burn-in will appear on the display when static images are held for extended periods. This hasn't happened to anyone yet, but cases will surely emerge in the coming months. Recommendation: don't set the brightness to maximum; leave it on automatic. With 64GB of storage, it's still insufficient and makes using a microSD card essential. They should have offered at least 128GB. As expected, the presentation is very polished. They've changed the format. In previous models, the box was horizontal, and now it's vertical. The box contains: the console, dock, two Joy-Cons, a grip, Joy-Con rail protectors, a charger, and an HDMI cable.

FORTNITE on Switch. Since Apple removed Fortnite from the App Store, I've been struggling to play my favorite game while on the go. I even tried the Android version on my smartphone (Galaxy S10) connected to an external monitor, which was a disastrous experience: slowdowns, stuttering, terrible image quality—in short, unplayable. And the other Android solutions for large tablets were prohibitively expensive without guaranteeing optimal fluidity (Samsung Tab S8 Ultra, over €1200). Then, I finally found the ultimate solution: the Nintendo Switch! Paired with a 15.6-inch portable monitor, the combination is fantastic for playing Fortnite on the go: superb image, consistent fluidity (despite the 30 fps, it's incredibly stable and enjoyable to play), very low power consumption, excellent gameplay—in short, everything you could want at an affordable price. With a small adapter, I was able to connect a PS4 controller, which I'm used to, plus a Bluetooth headset—it's perfect. This Nintendo Switch is simply fabulous! But, and there's always a but: this Switch is ideal for playing on the go, on a small screen up to 15 inches, but on a large screen, the image is blurry and the 30 fps frame rate is painfully noticeable. On a large screen, it's very clear that it doesn't even come close to a PS4 or a gaming PC; I'd even say it's practically unplayable. In conclusion (for playing Fortnite): for portable use on a small screen, yes, absolutely, but for home console use on a large screen or TV, you absolutely must opt for a console like a PS4/Xbox or a gaming PC.
