A cult manga. Who, having watched Club Dorothée, doesn't remember those lyrics? Admittedly, in retrospect, the French opening themes are in very poor taste, when they aren't simply unrelated to the series. Nevertheless, they have the merit of having left their mark on people's minds regarding one of the greatest sagas in Japanese popular culture, which is also the greatest of the shonen manga. After various editions (if memory serves, several newsstand editions, a classic hardcover format, a double edition, and a complete re-release of the work with translations and covers faithful to the Japanese edition), we now have what could be called the ultimate version of Akira Toriyama's masterpiece. The luxurious Perfect Edition of Dragon Ball offers a large format, new covers, more chapters than a standard volume, a revised translation, color pages, and high-quality printing. For manga fans, this is an absolute must-have, and for those unfamiliar with this shonen giant, it's a perfect opportunity to catch up. In a fantastical world where humans sometimes coexist with talking, humanoid dogs (!!!), lives Son Goku, a 12-year-old boy living alone in the mountains after the death of his grandfather. He possesses a monkey tail and colossal physical strength. One day, his path crosses that of Bulma, a young girl in the prime of her life who confesses to searching for the "Dragon Balls," seven crystal balls that, when gathered, summon Shenron, a sacred dragon ready to grant the wish of whoever awakens him. Goku accompanies Bulma on her journey, the first of many adventures where our heroes will make allies and face formidable adversaries.
