When Eidos (Tomb Raider, among others) and Square Enix (Final Fantasy, among others) team up to develop a game, quality is paramount. And indeed, despite being somewhat overlooked and not always well-reviewed by the specialized press, I spent many hours playing this game with genuine pleasure, both for its fun factor and the beauty of its environments. I can't understand the harsh scores it received, especially compared to other, better-rated games that I didn't find superior. For me, there were no bugs whatsoever. The gameplay is top-notch, the dialogue is witty and humorous, reminiscent of the films. I found some of the scenery throughout the game truly sensational, with a very polished design. And the soundtrack... nothing but hits from the 80s, a real treat! Aha! Duran Duran… Blondie… Etc…. I loved the mix of exploration, platforming, action, and the dynamic combat (although sometimes a little confusing)… But still exhilarating and challenging. Basically, this game was a real breath of fresh air compared to what the video game world usually offers (war games, survival horror, gloomy FPS, dark adventures, or depressing stories)… With its colorful palette, lively presentation, well-written dialogue, graphics (which are often criticized despite being of very high quality), and its particularly fun aspect, this game has everything to appeal to people like me, who are generally quite demanding, not to mention being absolutely addictive and providing real enjoyment to those who dare to embark on the adventure… For me, this game deserves more than a 16/20… Without being classified as a triple-A title like some reheated productions where technology takes precedence over gameplay, this installment has plenty to offer and provided me with an adventure and a universes so unique that I felt like I was playing something truly new… With a generous lifespan.

A truly brilliant, captivating game, brimming with humor, with a special mention for Rocket who had me in stitches. I loved the combat system, the story, and how the whole team feels almost alive thanks to the fantastic and natural dialogue; you really grow attached to them, I've rarely seen that in a video game. I 100% recommend % and I'm begging for a sequel!!
