Neon Red Right Joy-Con Controller – Switch

I replaced the Joy-Con shells on my Switch and frankly, I'm very satisfied. The quality and feel are identical to the original shells, so no problems there. The box contains everything needed to disassemble and reassemble the controllers. What's great is that they provide all the screws for both controllers, plus some extras, and everything is Phillips head instead of the Y-shaped bits for removing the first four screws on each Joy-Con. I'm giving it a 4 out of 5 because of one thing that really bothered me: the Y-shaped bit doesn't fit the screw heads properly. It's loose, and almost all the heads and the bit itself get stripped, unlike with the Phillips head bit. So they really need to fix that because I couldn't remove the last screw and had to force it, damaging one of the original shells, which is a real shame.

I wasn't keen on buying an unlicensed item, and yet I regret not placing this order sooner! It's ideal for playing with multiple people and is very user-friendly! I highly recommend it!

I decided to replace one of the Joy-Cons on my console because mine wasn't working properly anymore. This one worked immediately. We'll see how it holds up in the long run. However, during this holiday season, be very vigilant. My package was almost stolen right in front of my house by the delivery driver himself, comfortably seated in his truck. I had to leave my house after receiving an email from Amazon saying that my delivery wouldn't be that day but the next, and that given the size of my package, it couldn't be delivered to my mailbox. I understand that this Christmas period is very busy for "reputable" delivery drivers, but others are clearly taking advantage of it. The truck drove around my area for several hours, from 3 pm to 6 pm, supposedly delivering six packages before mine. I had to chase the truck in my own car to get my package back. Imagine my surprise when I found him in his truck, trying to open it! He jumped, opened his window, and when I asked him if it was the Amazon delivery driver, he replied with my address: 9 bis?? And handed me my package without even checking my ID… anyway. Be really vigilant and, above all, share your bad experiences; it might get things moving higher up!!!! Their satisfaction survey didn't have an answer that matched my situation, which is why I'm reporting it here. Very disappointed indeed. I'm thinking of canceling my Amazon subscription.

Superb color! Nothing to say

My grandson is thrilled; I bought some for his birthday, so now he has them in all colors.

For quick and easy installation. Instructions are not included. The screwdrivers are low quality but do the job. I recommend this item, which can be reused.

One of my Joy-Cons was cracked (thanks, nephews…) so I decided to replace the shells with these, which are truly superb! They're very soft to the touch, almost a bit rubbery without being sticky, quite pleasant. The buttons are slightly lower quality than the originals, but they're much nicer! And that SNES design… just perfect! Disassembly and reassembly wasn't easy (especially for the right Joy-Con and its many ribbon cables; I advise beginners to start with the left one to get used to it), but with patience and a lot of care, it's doable. The Phillips screwdriver provided is good, but the tri-wing one is a bit tricky. During reassembly, I actually replaced the original tri-wing screws with the Phillips screws that came with the shells; the rest of the screws are the ones that were already in the original Joy-Cons. And then I took the opportunity to change my joysticks (hence why they're white like on the Switch Lite and not black), which I bought separately. Anyway, I'm very happy with the result; everything works perfectly! PS: If you're into motion gaming and only have one pair of Joy-Cons, I recommend using glue or skip this project altogether! Some components that are normally glued won't be once the shells are installed, and you can feel them move a little inside when you shake the Joy-Cons. Putting a dab of glue where it was originally should be enough (but not super glue).
