I'm a long-time fan, I still own the first installments on my N64! This one is one of the most surprising in terms of AI evolution; even on easy difficulty, the non-player characters are particularly good in minigames and in the strategies you adopt. As for the game boards, we're not disappointed, with new additions and updated versions that remind us of the older installments. The little extra is the possibility of being accompanied for a few turns by a character who will double all your winnings and items if you're lucky enough to keep them... because watch out, others can snatch them away! ;) New items make their appearance, allowing us to revise our strategies; however, I regret not seeing the return of the famous opposing mushroom that often turned the tide of battle in previous games. I should point out that even if you're not skilled with a joystick, Mario Party is accessible to everyone from 7 to 77 years old, and allows everyone to win, because, as in some sports, anything can happen until the last roll of the dice. In short, my wife wasn't familiar with the franchise, but I've been playing it for over 25 years. And she's become hooked. As for the children, they all love it, and we have some lovely family moments. Don't hesitate any longer, whether you're a fan or not, you'll fall under the spell of at least one of the many available characters! Note: the version includes the cartridge allowing you to play with up to 4 players even without an internet connection.

A fun Mario Party, but one that could be better. Super Mario Party Jamboree is truly a colorful and fun game, perfect for immersing yourself in the Mario universe with friends or family. The game boards are varied, and the choice of characters is vast, providing a good dose of diversity. The graphics are magnificent, and the soundtrack immediately plunges you into a festive and magical atmosphere. However, the game still seems to suffer from some imbalances. As in previous Mario Party games, finishing last almost becomes an advantage: you often receive bigger bonuses, while those in first place have to manage with less help. This can make the games a little frustrating for those who play well, since luck can suddenly turn the tables. The number of mini-games in Mario Party mode could also be confusing. Although the game promises over 110 minigames, in reality, the most frequent ones are quite limited when playing in board game mode without using a Joy-Con. In short, Super Mario Party Jamboree is a fun and social game, especially for evenings with friends or children. However, longtime fans might hope for a bit more depth and balance to make the games even more engaging. It's still a good time, but there's room for improvement!
