Your time has come. Guide a fledgling civilization through life's obstacles. From its humble beginnings, watch them evolve and progress through the ages under your wing. Influence their decisions and punish the faithless with a wide array of godlike abilities. Interact with objects, create disasters, and send unwitting creatures into orbit. This is your world, and nothing can stop you from having fun.
Our goal is to bring back the features you know and love from classic god games and spice them up with new ideas, a modern physics engine, and stylized visuals developed by some of our own industry heroes.
THE STORY OF A SPECIES
Meet the Nuggets, a fragile and quirky species who rely on your leadership to build, research, and progress. Help them, and they'll soon begin writing their own story among the stars. Each Nugget is a unique individual with a distinct set of characteristics. Like any other living creature, Nuggets need access to a few vital resources to survive. This includes water to drink, food to eat, and recreational activities to increase their happiness and quality of life. Recreational activities may include blowing things up. You've been warned.
By spending time with the Nuggets, you'll see that they behave like living, natural beings. They have their own thoughts and needs—and they even sometimes have the ability to make their own decisions. We want to give you the feeling that you're interacting with a living organism, almost as if you were in a rather chaotic anthill.
ORGANIC PLAY
The planets of the Universim are not simply a collection of neatly arranged objects; everything is interconnected and plays a unique role in each planet's ecosystem. Every tree your civilization cuts down, every resource it harvests, and every animal it hunts will impact the world it inhabits. A lack of trees and high levels of pollution will cause global temperatures to rise over time, while reckless hunting or fishing could lead to the extinction of certain species. Your mission is to manage how the Nuggets gather and use resources. What mark will you leave on ecosystems that existed millions of years before your arrival? Will you use every available resource and expand at an unprecedented pace, or will you methodically create a more sustainable way of life for your civilization?
These are living, breathing worlds where everything is interconnected. Our goal is to offer you a unique experience, unlike any god game you've played before. Every decision you or your civilization make will have consequences.
NATURE AS YOU KNOW IT
In The Universim, nature is as wondrous and unpredictable as ever. Each planet holds a few surprises that will undoubtedly challenge your civilization. From tornadoes that consume everything in their path to thunderous earthquakes that threaten to split your civilization in two, mistreating nature could teach you just how brutal and unforgiving it can be. Every planet you encounter has its own unique character. Some planets are tranquil and brimming with resources, while others are barren and dangerous. Be careful!
