An atypical Metroidvania. The game is gorgeous, provided you appreciate the art style. If you find it too flashy or lacking in visibility (too much monochromatic color with the enemies, in particular), you can go to the game settings > "accessibility" and you'll find several options to adjust the "saturation" and even "blur" the game's background. I have to say, I've rarely seen that in an indie game. Kudos to them. Regarding the gameplay, without spoiling too much, know that the combat is cool but not the core of the game. After a short adjustment period to the animations, it proves to be quite fast-paced. You're trapped in a time loop, and I must say that this kind of choice terrified me in the first few minutes of the game. BUT the level design is ingenious, and the game is full of clever touches that break away from Metroidvania clichés! The music is superb! (Special mention for the resting track, delicate and captivating). Composed by Ratvader, I recommend checking out his Bandcamp. In short, it's a divisive game that won't appeal to everyone, but personally, I found it incredibly refreshing; it's unlike anything else. Kudos to the developers for their very first game—it bodes well for the future!

A fantastic game that's full of surprises. This game is quite unique; it's not at all what it seems. Like the plants that are central to the game, as the character evolves, the gameplay transforms quite radically and completely departs from classic Metroidvanias. However, you have to overlook some minor issues related to the game's limited scope and the feeling of being lost you might experience around a third of the way through, but it's definitely worth it. I'm deliberately being vague; it's really a game you have to discover for yourself. An excellent surprise for me, in any case.
