The Blu-ray player doesn't work. You insert the disc and it says "disc unreadable" or something like that. Yes, I inserted the disc the right way around as indicated in the manual. It feels like I'm putting it in upside down, but that's how it is. What a disappointment from such a well-known product! Just when you're so excited to unwrap your gift and marvel at your favorite games, you feel like you've been ripped off. I should mention that the console was bought new, but strangely, the plastic covering the black strip is missing. You know that thin layer of plastic film that protects the parts from scratches? Well, it's not there. Of course, I immediately thought, perhaps the console had had another owner. Please let me know in the comments if that's the case. Otherwise, kudos to customer service, who handled my call and request very quickly. They ordered another machine, which I hope will work normally. If not, I will regretfully have to request a refund, and I will be very sad. Oh god of PlayStation, please make my next order perfect and reliable, and make me a happy man. Thank you in advance. God heard me, and the replacement was made. It was installed with the accessories I bought separately for horizontal positioning to avoid the potential risk of liquid metal damaging the console. The disc drive works perfectly, as does the entire product. It's for this reason, after reflection, that I gave 4 stars instead of 1 for the excellent customer service logistics.
Received on time, excellent delivery by Chronopost. The packaging was a bit flimsy; it arrived open, and the adhesive didn't survive the journey. But thankfully, nothing was missing from the package, as it was eagerly awaited!

I don't regret my purchase or waiting two years, and the number of games is starting to grow. 2023 is the year to upgrade to the new generation. God of War is sublime. After reading several reviews about the faulty Blu-ray player, I hesitated a lot before ordering, and once I did, I was very worried the whole time, not knowing what I was getting myself into. I'm actually very satisfied; the console works perfectly, and so does the CD player, which was my biggest concern. I think it's a bit of a gamble, unfortunately. This is indeed the latest edition of the console (1216A) as well as the latest version of the DualSense controller (serial number ending in A instead of 1). The outer box was slightly damaged upon arrival, probably because it was packed inside a much larger box with some paper for protection. Nothing too serious, really. After countless disappointing PC ports lately, I'm turning to the PS5 to enjoy it without any hassle and for the upcoming exclusives, especially FFXVI and FFVII Rebirth.
I've come a long way since the last console I played; it was an Xbox 360 (I've only been on PC since then), so I can't really compare it in terms of performance. I've had it for a little over a week (the version with a disc drive), and wow, what an experience! I'm so happy with it; it's such a change from a keyboard and mouse *_* So far, I've played God of War and Ghost of Tsushima—incredible! I just need to get used to being faster with the joysticks when aiming, lol. The 'feel' system, depending on the surface you're walking on, like stone or wood, is really effective :p I bought an OLED TV (LG C2) a few months ago, so that must help with the graphics. The console doesn't make any annoying noise for me, and the interface is smooth. If I had one or two things to say, it would be about the controller: the grip isn't grippy enough. I find the controller a bit too 'Smooth' or maybe it's just me who's out of practice and the basic SSD is a bit limited, a real 1TB one would have been cool not to mention the system size, but I'll buy another SSD in the future to be more comfortable 😉 but the conclusion is I RECOMMEND in all cases whether you're coming from a PC or older consoles!
Finally, availability and a price recommended by Sony that's respected… it was about time. It was also about time to be able to continue the adventures of Alloy and so many others that remain exclusive to the Sony ecosystem. I say this because I bought the Series X two years ago when it was much more readily available. And while the criticisms suggested that Sony had once again taken the lead this generation, it seems Xbox is trying to catch up. Indeed, I had been told that the Xbox interface was less fluid than Sony's. That Xbox cross-gen games would be less visually appealing than PS5 games on Sony's side, etc. In reality, there must have been some progress on Microsoft's side because I find the 100% interface more responsive and clearer than Sony's. In short, apart from the controllers which offer very nice vibrations, I didn't get a "wow" effect when launching my first PS% games. If I hadn't appreciated the PS5's quiet operation compared to its predecessor, or the SSD which makes accessing games so much more comfortable, I'd be delighted to complete my gaming setup with this long-awaited console. I certainly don't regret it, but I'm just qualifying the comparisons that placed the PS5 far ahead of the Series X. Even if Sony seems well on its way to repeating its previous success, Xbox is a much more serious competitor and a truly interesting alternative compared to the original Xbox One, which was clearly inferior to the PS4. Purchasing an SSD seems essential once you subscribe to PS+ Premium. The Samsung 980 Pro offers excellent value for money and has been running very well since I installed it.
