Great for exercising while playing. This game is fantastic and unique! In addition to the adventure, which effectively alternates between cardio and strength training, there are programs or challenges for specific muscles or muscle groups, as well as super fun mini-games. One small detail: you get tired so quickly because of the adventure levels that it seems difficult to finish the main storyline. I was worried it would be too childish and simplistic, but not at all! Right from the start, there's a strength gauge to assess the necessary compression you need to apply to the Ring-Con (basically, a 10-year-old shouldn't have to compress as hard as an athletic adult). On top of that, there are 4 difficulty levels that determine how many repetitions you have to do. I assure you, it makes you sweat, and completing even just 3 adventure levels is already a huge achievement :) The game's world could have been rushed and focused primarily on the concept of exercising. That said, it's not the case at all. The fantasy world of Ring Fit Adventure is beautiful, fun, and RPG-oriented, with turn-based combat, an attack phase, and a defense phase, as well as a few details you'll discover during your adventure. The loading screens offer helpful tips on sports and even nutrition. I also find the explanations of the different exercises very well done. You can also measure your heart rate after each adventure level, and the game suggests stretches at the beginning and end of each workout (which I recommend doing, even if it might seem tedious at first). Although the exercises in adventure mode are unlockable, you can do everything freely in other modes. Between the mini-games and the exercises for each body part, there's an interesting variety. You end up with exercises using only the Ring Con, only the strap attached to your thigh, exercises done only standing or only on the floor… that work the upper body, the lower body, exercises focused on stretching/flexibility or yoga. In short, there's really something for everyone! And as a result, you get a huge workout in all your muscles. After the session, you feel pretty good!
