A fantastic discovery! This dark title, which boldly blends alternate history and dark fantasy, was a real gem. I thoroughly enjoyed the story, the main characters, and the gameplay mechanics. Exploration can be a little frustrating at times, as you constantly have to backtrack to unlock things when you gain new powers, but it wasn't a major issue. The game's strength lies in its narrative and the importance of choices. I loved all the quests, which are story-driven and present genuine dilemmas. A triumph! There are no black and whites, only shades of gray, and choices are never without consequences and are never easy. This allowed me to truly grasp the stakes of this story, which will stay with me for a long time. A great game for fans of the genre!

A good game. I spent over 100 hours on the game while some finish it in 20 to 30 hours, which shows that I took the time to explore it thoroughly, follow the dialogues, read the documents... and so, yes, overall I found it quite good. I liked the story, the atmosphere, and certain aspects of the gameplay. As for flaws, I'd say there's sometimes a bit too much talking without saying much, but you can skip the dialogue. I'd also say that while it's not ugly, it's far from being the most beautiful game on the console; it's not going to be a technical showcase for the PS5, but it's still graphically quite pleasing, and besides, it's not a AAA game released for 70 euros… It's not the kind of game where there's an entire team just to model the bodies of water. No, the two biggest weaknesses for me are the gameplay, which is a bit too rigid and sometimes too imprecise in certain parts of the combat (melee, sword), and also a somewhat repetitive aspect at times, or some side quests that are less interesting than others. But overall, it's pretty good, the story is enjoyable, with different paths depending on our choices, and the handling of ghosts adds its own originality. In short, for anyone looking for a low-priced narrative solo game with good replay value, there's no need to hesitate.

It all begins on June 7, 1695, in 17th-century New England, during the time of the colonists, Puritanism, and many superstitions where magic, whether white or black, spirits, witches, and especially curses were taken very seriously at that time! Our two main characters are Antea Duarte and Red Mac Raith. They are both seasoned banishers, hunters of souls returned from the dead who wander this world (from beyond) and whose mission is to liberate (exorcise!) the colony of New Eden, afflicted by a terrible curse that corrupts its living inhabitants, plunging them into a hellish existence on Earth! Upon their arrival, Antea and Red discover a village steeped in terror, fear, and endless misfortune. They witness a lack of food and villagers starving due to disastrous harvests, and all kinds of diseases are rampant. The terrified inhabitants, left to their own devices, are at a loss for what to do and are driven to madness. They suffer terrible nightmares and descend into total collective paranoia! For me, our two characters, Antéa, whose star of the afterlife shines in the heart and soul of Red, are incredibly endearing, and you wholeheartedly want to be with them, helping them fight these specters (ghosts). The combat scenes are exceptionally well-executed, beautiful, and fluid, showcasing the power of the supernatural. Combining your weapons with Antea's to defeat the specter apparitions will grant you an attack force as diverse as it is extraordinary! You can instantly switch between the two main characters whenever it seems useful and, above all, opportune… Whether you believe in the paranormal, witchcraft, esotericism, or guardian angels or not, this game will resonate with you in one way or another… A short phrase I wrote years ago that I think fits this kind of game well: the soul is indestructible, but what remains of the soul lost in the love of the soul…? Will you choose to become corrupted as banishers and save the love of your life, or will you let them go…? The choice is in your hands! The choice is yours! Every decision in the game counts!
