The "Breaking Point" Story Mode returns with a brand new chapter, new rivalries and even more tension in F1® 23.

Konnersport Butler F1 Racing Team
The story focuses on the Konnersport Butler F1® Racing Team, a new fictional team on the grid, and takes place during the 2022 and 2023 F1® seasons. Rising young star Aiden Jackson clashes with his teammate Devon Butler, a brash and arrogant veteran. When one of them is threatened by a personal issue, Devon's sister and F2® champion, Callie Mayer, enters the picture. To bring Callie's story to life, the narrative team enlisted the help of British racing driver Jamie Chadwick and Sky Sports F1® journalist Natalie Pinkham. Team Principal Casper Akkerman must manage the balance between team and family, as well as the machinations of Davidoff Butler, Devon and Callie's father (and the team's main sponsor). As your perspective shifts between characters, the story unfolds through gameplay and cutscenes, and depends on your choices.

The all-new F1® World is your central hub for constantly evolving daily, weekly, and seasonal events and content. It features a brand-new technical level progression system for a personalized Formula 1® adventure.

New challenges
Take on new challenges and participate in a series of solo competitions designed to introduce you to a variety of modes, tracks, and experiences in F1® 23. Master different circuits, improve your driving skills, explore F2® content, drive invitation-only supercars, and more. Both Solo and Multiplayer events include a range of daily, weekly, and seasonal challenges, whether you prefer playing solo or with others. From Multiplayer Grand Prix and Race Week celebrations to Time Trial challenges, there's something for everyone, every day of the week.

Technical level
Upgrade your F1® World car throughout the season with the new Technical Level progression system. Complete challenges, play online, and participate in updated events throughout the season to earn upgrades and increase your Technical Level, which reflects the performance of your F1® World car. As your Technical Level increases, your car's performance improves, and you'll have the opportunity to participate in more demanding events. You can participate in events above your Technical Level, but they will be more difficult. The best drivers will be able to exceed their car's Technical Level, but only up to a certain limit.

Improvements
Earn upgrades and spend time tinkering in the Garage to customize and develop your F1® World car, making it faster and more powerful as you progress. Upgrades in F1® World fall into two categories: car part upgrades and team member upgrades. Car parts improve your car's performance in the game. Team member upgrades can be enhanced through a contract system for additional "equipable" items to further boost your performance.

Design
F1® World features a brand new Design system that allows you to apply resources to schematics to make various improvements, create contracts to install modifications, collect stickers and add them to your collection, and more.

Licensing system
A new licensing system promotes fair racing in F1® World and rewards players for respectful driving.

Ranked multiplayer redesigned
F1® World features a revamped Ranked Multiplayer mode with a new Division-based ranking system, the F1® 23 Esports Series, and a new Objectives system that enhances Podium Pass progression. Play to earn points, climb the ranks (from Bronze to Elite) through weekly promotions, and win prizes and upgrades that you can apply to your Technical Level.

Collection
By completing F1® World challenges, you can relive your progress with a new Sticker Book, a virtual sticker album celebrating the world of Formula 1®, from past achievements to today's. Play, earn stickers, add them to the sticker book, and complete images to unlock even more rewards and prizes.

Better handling, better racing

For more predictable handling on the track, the new vehicle physics give F1® cars improved traction under braking, acceleration, and cornering. Authentic feedback from F1® teams has been incorporated into the adjustments to the balance between aerodynamic and tire grip, resulting in a more realistic experience and smoother racing. With improved engine torque and inertia changes, throttle response is more authentic and easier to tune.

Precision Drive™ controller technology
Race wheel-to-wheel with more control, precision, and finesse thanks to a rewrite of controller technology that offers greater confidence to controller users in decisive moments.

Red flags
The new Red Flag feature adds an authentic strategic element to every F1® 23 race.

35 % race distance
The new 35 % Race Distance option offers realistic race strategy and settings where tire wear remains a key factor, without losing too much time in each race.

New Grand Prix races in Las Vegas and Qatar
Test your skills in the new Formula 1® destinations. The 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix and the Qatar Grand Prix have been faithfully recreated and are on the F1® 23 race calendar. Soar over a street circuit under the legendary lights of the Las Vegas Strip and race on the Lusail International Circuit on the outskirts of Doha's desert.
