Take on the challenge of racing on some of the world’s most renowned circuits, including the seven destinations on the 2023 calendar: Autodromo Nazionale Monza, Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Sebring International Raceway, Bahrain International Circuit, Algarve International Circuit (Portimão), Fuji Speedway and the legendary Circuit de la Sarthe at Le Mans – the playground for the ultimate racing experience.
Le Mans Ultimate utilizes the physics and handling simulation DNA of pMotor 2.5, used and improved in rFactor2, and builds upon this foundation, allowing the game to be more accessible and community-friendly with quality-of-life improvements – removing barriers to entry while retaining the key elements of racing simulation.
For those seeking wheel-to-wheel competition with real drivers, the online feature, powered by RaceControl, will be the place for this exciting challenge. From launch, racers will be able to participate in daily ranked races, which will run regularly throughout the day. In the future, more opportunities will become available to players, who will unlock higher-ranked races and exclusive events as the game develops, alongside the real-life FIA World Endurance Championship.
Racing game fans will begin their journey in Le Mans Ultimate by participating in the Race Weekend, either offline or online. The Race Weekend will be the ideal starting point for all drivers, who will choose a Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced player profile based on their simulator racing experience.
This play area will be an opportunity to familiarize yourself with exotic machines, fine-tune car settings and learn circuits while creating your own FIA WEC race weekend – participating in practice, qualifying and the main race – adjusting the time of day, session length and weather conditions to your liking.
Le Mans Ultimate will utilize an advancement in track evolution simulation, Real Road 2.0, found only in Studio 397 titles. Just like a real race session, the track will start out green and relatively slippery at the beginning of the weekend, gradually becoming rubbery as cars pass the racing line – the cars pushing dust, dirt, and marbles off the track. Work is underway in several areas, including dynamic weather effects, such as rain and debris on windshields, as well as more realistic water flow and puddle formation on the circuit. The cars will also evolve throughout the race, with accumulated dirt and debris coating them, giving them an authentic, weathered, and endurance-worn appearance.
