A successful return for the Metroid Prime saga. After what seemed like an endless wait, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond delivers a solid and captivating adventure, true to the spirit of the series while bringing some interesting new features. 📌 What I liked: • Exploration is immersive with varied and well-designed environments that make you want to search every nook and cranny to discover secrets. • The first-person gameplay is fluid and enjoyable, with responsive combat and a real sense of action. • The art direction is excellent, and the game runs remarkably well, especially at 120 fps on Switch 2. • Samus receives interesting new abilities that enrich the experience without alienating long-time fans. ⚠️ Areas for improvement: • Some environments, like the desert areas, can feel a bit empty or repetitive. • The story and characters are sometimes less memorable than expected, and the balance between linear storytelling and free exploration is divisive. 🎯 In summary: An excellent return for the Metroid Prime franchise, with an immersive, technically impressive, and Fun, even if some level design and pacing choices aren't perfect. A must-have for fans of the series and a great entry point for new players.

An excellent Metroid game. Graphically, it's superb and runs in either 4K/60fps or 1080p/120fps. This is a physical copy of the game, not a game key card.

Excellent game, a triumphant return for the series. This Metroid is simply excellent! Everything about it is perfect, in keeping with the first three. Especially considering the development issues it faced. I'm already eager to discover future installments, which will have to completely revamp the structure this time, but for a comeback, it's simply perfect.

What a Samus-esque experience! The motion-sensing aiming often drifts, requiring recalibration (the simplicity of the Wii's sensor bar is a distant memory...). And the mouse mode is a disaster; the buttons are so awkwardly placed. You're better off just using the controller. We know the Switch 2 isn't meant to be a powerhouse, but technically, while not terrible, it's still quite dated, even in Quality mode. Fortunately, Retro Studios' art direction, as it has been for the past 22 years, is still top-notch. The sense of wonder and escapism is still fully realized. The music is fantastic, the story is enjoyable, the style has evolved for the better, and while the motorcycle gameplay suits me, it won't appeal to everyone. And there's a lot of dialogue, in contrast to the previous installments and their more solitary atmosphere, but why not? Minor flaws for a very good game. Amazon: not so long ago you were shipping a little early so we'd get the game on release day and not the day after...

It's a classic Metroid Prime, but we're not asking it to radically change; there would be an outcry even if it did. The open-world area on the motorcycle isn't the most thrilling, admittedly, but it's a quick area to traverse and only serves to connect the classic, but still excellent, on-foot corridor sections. It breaks the rhythm a bit, but we also need to relearn not to expect constant, raw action in every video game. And the mouse mode is unusable because the buttons are so poorly designed. It's better to just use a controller. The immersive experience is still completely successful. You're plunged into the world of Viewros. Amazing music, impeccable gameplay, a great story. Quite a bit of dialogue, a contrast to previous installments and their more solitary atmosphere, but why not? In short, minor flaws for a very good game.
