MotoGP. Great game box. I thought I was giving my son a nice gift, but I only received the box without the game. I want to contact customer service, but I can't reach them via SMS chat. This is the second time I've ordered the game and it's still empty. Amazon, please do something!

MotoGP 23 offers very decent graphics for a motorcycle simulation game. The tracks are faithfully modeled, the reflections on the wet tarmac, the shadows cast by the riders, the animated grandstands… everything is designed to immerse the player in the tension of a Grand Prix. Admittedly, some textures might seem a little lacking if you look too closely, but that's not what you're looking for in a simulation. The engine sounds are superb; you almost feel like you're there. Each category has its own distinct sound, and every acceleration and braking is a real treat for the ears. The roar of an engine on the straights or the squeals of emergency braking fully contribute to the immersion, even if a bit more sound variety outside of races would have been welcome. The gameplay is challenging and rewarding. This was my very first MotoGP game and also my first motorcycle game in general, and I must say that getting to grips with it requires a real adjustment period. Here, there's no room for error: you have to learn to brake at the right moment, to negotiate corners with precision, to control every lean angle. But once you get the hang of it, what a thrill! The learning curve is rewarding, every victory is earned, every overtake is exhilarating. The "riding aids" mode is well-designed for beginners and allows for a gradual increase in skill, but I recommend doing as I did and disabling all the aids from the start. Sure, it's much harder, but in the long run, it's far better. The content is solid: a complete career mode, with rivalries, transfers, dynamic weather, and successive seasons. You can play as a young rider climbing the ranks, managing your choices, your sponsors, and building your legend. The official circuits, the Moto3, Moto2, and MotoGP categories are all there, and the feel varies depending on the bike's power, offering a great variety of gameplay. Time trials to compare yourself to your friends and the rest of the world, or the online mode and private matches where you spend most of your time. The game's lifespan is very respectable: expect several dozen hours for the career mode alone, not to mention custom races, challenges, or multiplayer. You can easily sink hundreds of hours into it if you get hooked, especially if you try to master everything. Like any simulation game, MotoGP 23 can be frustrating at first, especially for a newcomer. A few display or collision bugs remain, and the AI can sometimes behave strangely. But nothing that prevents you from fully enjoying the experience. A little advice: persevere. It's not a game that holds your hand, but once you start, it's hard to put down. For a first motorcycle game, it won me over and gave me a real thrill. PS: I quickly joined a team on the game called "vMv motoGP" for anyone wanting a close-knit and welcoming team. It's open to everyone, regardless of skill level. Have a great GP! 😉
