Description
Twenty years after the release of Outcast, the award-winning action-adventure game that pioneered non-linear open-world gameplay, discover its highly anticipated sequel in which Cutter Slade returns to the spectacular alien world of Adelpha. Resurrected by the all-powerful Yods, he didn't expect what he would find: the Talans have been enslaved, Adelpha has been stripped of its natural resources, and the ghosts of his past on Earth seem linked to the robot forces that have invaded the planet. It falls to him to save the planet once again.
The team behind Outcast 1 has reunited to bring you this fascinating world teeming with dangerous creatures, home to the Talan people, an ancient civilization whose fate has been intertwined with Earth's since the events of the first game. You will play as Cutter Slade, a former Navy SEAL who hasn't lost any of the spirit he displayed in the 90s. However, as the world around him has changed, he too will eventually have to adapt.

I wonder why, developers and game companies currently think it's fine to release games that are not only complicated from the very start, even on easy (16 plus or not), but then omit to add an option of 'prompts' to remind any new player of the umpteen instructions already dished out along the way. Compounding the complications by asking the now bewildered player to remember it all and THEN add in a requirement to perform multiple, either repetitive or far too ambitious tasks NOT told about beforehand, just to advance to more of the same. Here's a hint Devs and Marketers, if we want to buy a game where we don't get told (as opposed to the blurb this game was sold under), that it's like the 'Krypton Factor' in cartoon form (Younger gamers, please G–gle it) – we'd ask or specifically look for it if inclined and something like this game is way to ponderous and certainly not like it was advertised in my opinion and therefore hint, hint, IS NOT FUN! the point of gaming in fact I would suggest.

Before you play for the first time, you will be in receipt of Xbox Live Gold (first on the Game Pass Core system), you have to say that the legnosità of the first title is still distant from your child, so you can't speak of your favorite graphics. All ok, don't forget. If there is a fluidity problem, you may have to apply the patch (of changing gigabytes… But it's always there for all the recent ones, for some reason). Not for a 20-year limit on the console, consider it at the same price (have a price of 16 or 17 euros, please note)

A truly great experience. The latest creation from the Belgian studio Appeal. I didn't play the first one because I discovered it late, and its age prevented me from fully immersing myself in it. However, I was tempted by its sequel because the promise of its open world seemed enticing, the jetpack gameplay appeared to offer great freedom of exploration, and it didn't seem necessary to have played the first game to appreciate the second. All of this was confirmed with controller in hand, and I finished the game at 100% in about 30 hours, enjoying every moment. The game isn't without its flaws. It was created with a moderate budget and a limited team. But you can feel the developers' passion for their franchise through the details of the world design, the richness of the lore, and the beauty of certain vistas. I highly recommend it!

Outcast – A New Beginning is a game of this (and part of the story) that has returned to life with the emotion of the original title from 1999. The game on PS5 must be said to have been captured by the unique atmosphere, the world of the game and the sense of hope that breathed at the end of the day. The graphics are fine, with amped ambient light and a suitable light. No, I have lived the triple life, but I have the artistic direction that it does. The alien world is fascinating and easy to understand, perfect for the sci-fi adventure with an “old school” addiction. The gameplay is fun, exploring and dialoguing with a certain freedom: you can face the mission in your own way, and this is a great point of favour. The combat system is simple to operate, but it can also be a little deeper. Just as good as the first Outcast. I played “Outcast – A New Beginning” on PS5 after loving the remake, also on PS5. In the first game, the adventure was fun to follow, original, and the French voice acting by Patrick Poivey (the French voice of Bruce Willis), whom I adore, was fantastic, but he sadly passed away in 2020. In this second adventure, the world is just as enjoyable to explore, with the jetpack allowing for easy navigation in the vast open world, and I love customizing my weapons with different attachments to take on enemies. The story is captivating, and I appreciate the freedom to explore at my own pace, discovering hidden temples. The graphics are superb, and Lennie Moore's soundtrack adds an epic dimension to the adventure. It's a game that blends action, exploration, and immersion in a fascinating world. I recommend it to all adventure game fans.
