First and foremost, the story is absolutely exceptional. It possesses such emotional power that it can genuinely bring tears to your eyes; it's magnificent from the very first minutes. The art direction and soundtrack are a true delight. The visual and musical world enhances the intensity of the key moments, further amplifying the immersion and emotional impact. The French voice acting (I didn't try the English version since I wanted to enjoy a game made by French developers, in French for once) is, in my humble opinion, of excellent quality. The characters quickly become very endearing; the dialogue is finely written, sometimes even imbued with poetry, reflecting the story itself. In terms of immersion, you are completely absorbed by the game's world, which also knows how to sprinkle its narrative with delightful touches of humor, well-placed and never out of place. As for the gameplay, I had some initial reservations, not because I dislike turn-based games, but rather because of the large numbers that appear on screen during attacks. Ultimately, the combat system pleasantly surprised me: it's dynamic turn-based, a far cry from Pokémon or Baldur's Gate 3. You have to parry, dodge, counter-attack at the right moment, and use quick-time events (QTEs) to enhance your abilities. And honestly, I love it. Graphically, the game is solid without being revolutionary. But the art direction is so well done that you completely forget any potential technical limitations. That's how excellent it is. In short, I highly recommend this game, despite a few minor flaws. It's all the more impressive considering it's the first game from this French studio, comprised of only 33 developers! Many of whom left Ubisoft to form this studio.

I've barely started the game, and I already know it's going to be a magnificent piece of work. The only problem is that it's generating so, SO much buzz that some of you might be expecting TOO much. It's a turn-based game, which isn't usually my style, but I have to love it. I think we ABSOLUTELY MUST support the studio (30 people). I'd love for it to win Game of the Year so it can give a good slap to the AAA studios that are taking us for fools. TRY IT! At worst, it's on Game Pass, but I'll buy it to support the guys.
